Valentine’s Day in Paris is like stepping into a romantic movie. This year, we decided to make our getaway even more special by bringing along our beloved four legged fur son. We drove from London, which took just over 6 hours but plus side - unlimited luggage space for pup berets/trench coats...and my own!

Arriving in Paris and Checking Into Le Bristol

We headed straight to our hotel Le Bristol, a five-star hotel known for its luxury and pet-friendly atmosphere. The service at Le Bristol is truly phenomenal, as it is with all Oetker hotels, and it has been recognized as one of the best hotels in the world multiple times. The breakfast is one of the best I have ever had, and the burger at lunchtime - truly - I am planning on going back just for a lunch soon to have this again. It would also make a nice afternoon treat to pop by for a hot chocolate here which is literally like a chocolate fountain in a teapot - delicious!!!

The hotel has stunning rooms and lush gardens, making it an ideal sanctuary for our Valentine’s retreat. Our dog was given a very regal bed (although he does seem to sleep with us), special treats, and even a personalized dining area. We had a junior suite and it was gorgeous - the decor is my absolute favorite. The hotel has valet parking for guests arriving by car. The hotel also has a stunning rooftop pool with a tiny terrace and small sauna - it feels like a real sanctuary up there, whatever the weather!

Dining at the Exquisite L'Epicure

For Valentines Day we had something special booked; L'Epicure, the hotel's three Michelin-star restaurant. This restaurant is not only known for its opulent décor but also for offering one of the best dining experiences in the world.

With a dining price of €850 per person, the menu was crafted exclusively for Valentines Day and each dish exceeded our expectations. Plates were crafted with the finest seasonal ingredients. We began with an exquisite amuse-bouche, followed by mains featuring perfectly cooked lobster and wagyu, inbetween caviar, truffle and champagne. The sommelier paired each course with fine wines and every detail really was perfect... this meal was not just dinner; it really was an unforgettable experience.

This restaurant wasn't dog friendly so we organised a dog babysitter through the hotel as ours is a diva and cannot be left alone. I think this was 50 euro per hour.

Discovering More Dog-Friendly Dining Options

Our culinary adventure didn’t stop at L'Epicure. The next day, we enjoyed a delightful and dog-friendly lunch at Lou Lou, nestled within the Musée des Arts Décoratifs.

Known for its inviting atmosphere, Lou Lou welcomes pets with warmth. Our pup was provided with fresh water and a comfy spot next to us, which set the tone for a lovely meal. The menu showcased a modern take on classic French cuisine. We ordered alot including the truffle pizza and pasta, both bursting with flavors that highlighted the freshness of local produce.

Downstairs turns into a party so not really fit for four legged friends, but perfect if thats what youre looking for. I wore black shorts with sheer tights underneath, a tight black turtleneck, black Alaia heels and a really stunning tweed Giambattista Valli floor length jacket with gold buttons. I purchased this from Luisa Via Roma a few weeks before the trip.

An Elegant Evening at The Peninsula

For our final dinner, we headed to The Peninsula, a prestigious hotel boasting a Michelin-star restaurant with views of the Eiffel Tower. We were thrilled to discover that this restaurant also welcomed pets, making it perfect for our furry friend to join us one last time.

The Peninsula is renowned for its spectacular Eiffel Tower views, and being seated by a window enhanced our experience. The chef crafted a unique tasting menu featuring dishes like olive oil poached fish and chocolate soufflé, which showcased seasonal ingredients and the best of French culinary art.
